A decade or two ago, you might remember how we would put on our best costumes, grab our friends from the neighborhood, and go around trick-or-treating to search for the best candy a kid could get. Miss those times!
However, now as adults, it is our duty to be the ones to put the candy out for other kids to take, oh how times have changed so fast! Now that I think about it, putting out candy isn’t as easy as I thought it would be. It needs careful consideration so that your house would be the most popular among kids for giving out the best candy!
Based on my personal preferences and experiences, I thought I should share a list of candies with you all so that I could improve your Halloween experience. Here are some types of candy that I think you should put out this Halloween!
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup
Starting this list with something healthy for kids, sort of. A Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup is a pretty brilliant option to put out for candy. Not only does it taste amazing, but peanut butter is known to be a great source of protein.
So, to give kids a nice kick of savory peanut butter and a dose of protein, I feel like the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup should be a must on your list of candy to put out!
Reese’s Bats
Since we’re already talking about Reese’s, why not talk about one kind of candy that is actually centered toward the Halloween theme? The Reese’s Bats are candy-shaped like a bat, which adds to the festive feeling of Halloween.
Plus, candy that is shaped like something related to Halloween always looks cool to kids, which is why you should definitely have it on your list of candy to put out this Halloween. Since kids are pretty huge fans of Reese’s, your house will likely be popular in the neighborhood!
A Hershey’s Chocolate Bar
This list would have been incomplete without mentioning one of the OG’s, the Hershey’s Chocolate Bar. I remember when I was a kid, I would go out trick-or-treating with my sister, and I would always be stoked about getting the Hershey’s Bar, the biggest one!
Even today, I feel like passing on the tradition to another kid would be a great idea. I believe Halloween is incomplete without a Hershey’s Bar, so you better put it in your list of candy to get this Halloween!
Sour Patch Kids
If you think about it, kids are pretty low-maintenance when it comes to candy. You give them anything that has a nice, sour kick to it and they’ll absolutely love it! This is where the Sour Patch Kids step in to save the day!
Even when I was a kid, I would notice how there was not one kid who didn’t like Sour Patch Kids. It would only make sense to keep the tradition alive, so make sure that you throw in a couple of Sour Patch Kids into your Halloween candy mix too. You’ll thank me later!
KitKat
Here’s another one of the OG’s. When I was a kid, I was OBSESSED with KitKats. If you don’t want to give me anything else that’s fine, but at least give me a KitKat and I’m sorted! There’s something about this minimalistic candy bar that kids absolutely love!
With a delicious chocolate coating over a perfectly crispy wafer. It would only make sense why kids love KitKats so much. So next on your candy list is KitKat, don’t forget it!
Hershey’s Cookies And Cream
The OG again, but with an added touch! Many people would disagree when I say that Hershey’s Cookies. And Cream is a great chocolate bar, with many saying that. It isn’t exactly chocolate and others having more conflicting opinions. I personally believe that the Cookies and Cream Bar is a great addition to the candy mix.
Each bite of the candy bar gives you a great hit of cookie crumbs. Making it an absolute delight to have. And what better time to have the candy.Than after trick or treating and returning home to eat all your candy? So, to make things more exciting for the kids in your neighborhood. Make sure that you add Hershey’s Cookies and Cream!
